Compliance

For DR. KADE, compliance with legal provisions and company guidelines is an important prerequisite for long-term economic success. Our company’s success is based on integrity and compliance. To meet this requirement, it is important for us to learn about potential misconduct within the company and to put a stop to it. To this end, DR. KADE operates a confidential whistle-blower system, which also meets the legal requirements for such a system.

Our whistle-blower system is not for dealing with general complaints but rather for detecting and investigating misconduct.

Such misconduct could take the form of:

1. Violations of national law, e.g. in the form of:

  • crimes, e.g. corruption, theft, fraud, embezzlement, crimes relating to violations of the German Medicines Act (AMG) and
  • Administrative offences when the violated regulation served to protect life, limb or health, or to protect the rights of employees or their representative bodies, e.g. violations of the German Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG) or the German Temporary Employment Act (AÜG).

2. Violations of directly applicable EU law, e.g. requirements on the following:

  • Product safety
  • Transport of dangerous goods
  • Environmental protection, radiation protection
  • Food safety and feed safety
  • Quality and safety standards for medicines and medical products
  • Consumer protection
  • Data protection
  • Information security
  • Procurement law
  • Accounting for stock corporations
  • Occupational health and safety

3. Violations of our company guidelines

Whistle-blowers are not required to verify whether the circumstances in question constitute a crime or administrative offence, or if they violate German or European law. This will be determined by the Whistle-blower Office.

All current and former employees of DR. KADE are entitled to submit information to the whistle-blower system. DR. KADE’s whistle-blower system can be used by people who have become aware of information on violations in connection with their work activities or prior to undertaking a work activity.
