Since 1886, independent Berlin-based family company DR. KADE has been a prominent name in the pharmaceutical sector. For our customers, we develop, produce and market top-quality medicines and medical products with innovative administration and dosage forms – with the superior quality that is associated with Germany.

Our goal: We are the specialists in women’s health and proctology.
With our cutting-edge manufacturing in Germany, we develop holistic solutions for our customers – especially for complaints that are often seen as taboo. We have a unique portfolio in our main areas of expertise: women’s health and proctology. We are the leading provider in Germany in preparations for vaginal yeast infections and haemorrhoids. In doing so, we combine medical excellence with empathy and responsibility in all of our specialist areas: women’s health, proctology, gastroenterology, children’s vitamins and dermocosmetics.

Our team of 300-plus employees in Berlin is devoted to bringing about lasting improvements to the quality of life of our patients. Quality from Berlin
Our innovative production location in Berlin’s Marienfelde district is designed to produce medicines and medical products of the very highest quality. When the location was modernised extensively in 2018/19, it was fitted with the very latest technology and was also tested and approved in accordance with the international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. We have also been certified for medical products in accordance with the latest MDR standards. Our environmental management system has been an integral part of our sustainable business practices since as far back as 1996.
Verified quality
Our holistic quality management system is the basis for the superior quality of our healthcare products. Here, all equipment and processes used for manufacturing and testing are examined rigorously and documented. In this way, we can be sure that all DR. KADE products meet the highest quality requirements.
Everything under control
From raw materials to the final product, our manufacturing process is subject to extensive quality controls, with every delivery of raw materials being inspected carefully before being used in production. Each production stage is monitored through in-process controls during manufacturing and each product batch is tested before being delivered to ensure that it is of impeccable quality. In our laboratories, we use chromatographic, biochemical and photometric methods to analyse our base, interim and final products. With these methods, we ensure that the products that bear our name deliver the high quality that our customers expect.
Flexible production facilities
Our flexible production facilities allow us to respond swiftly to customer demands and changes in the market. In manufacturing, we have focused on technology relating to semi-solid forms and have high-performance lines for producing creams, ointments, gels and suppositories.
Fully automated packaging solutions
In our fully automated filling lines, semi-solid products are also packaged in blister packs within folding boxes which also contain directions for use and applicators or cannulas. Since February 2019, prescription medicines have also been assigned a pack-specific serialisation number and a code.

DR. KADE is a member of Pharma Deutschland, the largest association in the German pharmaceutical sector. Its 400 member companies – employing an estimated 80,000 people – supply the vast bulk of medicines for the German market. They account for around 80% of over-the-counter and two thirds of prescription-only medication and supply most material medical products.
